About Us

Auto Tech Pitstop began with humble roots in a backyard in Ozone Park, Queens — but the story goes back even further. Growing up, cars were always a part of life. Our founder’s father was a mechanic, and long before Auto Tech Pitstop was born, he watched his dad repair cars in their yard in Georgetown, Guyana, and later in Ozone Park. While his father was never able to build the dream shop he envisioned, he gave his sons the ultimate opportunity: a love for cars, hands-on skills, and a vision for what was possible. 

Though trade school provided formal training, more than 75% of the knowledge and passion behind Auto Tech Pitstop came from those childhood days in the yard, turning wrenches beside his father. That foundation is what drives Auto Tech Pitstop today — a business built not only on experience but also on legacy. 

By March 2021, Auto Tech Pitstop had moved into a modest 600 sq. ft. shop, shared between brothers. At the time, it was still a side project while working full-time as a manager at Mavis, a major tire chain, logging 50–60 hours a week. With hard work and perseverance, the first automotive lift was purchased, helping build a loyal customer base more quickly. 

In August 2022, Auto Tech Pitstop became more than a side hustle — it became the main focus. Taking a leap of faith to go all in proved to be the best decision yet. Just nine months later, in May 2023, Auto Tech Pitstop moved into its current Queens location: a 2,500 sq. ft. shop equipped with tire service machines and an alignment rack. Though the shop needed plenty of work, it was transformed into the Pitstop customers know today. 

As the team and clientele grew, Auto Tech Pitstop became part of the local car culture, sponsoring some of the biggest car shows in NYC and Long Island, including Slammed by the Bay and March Madness — the very events its founder once attended as a child. In April 2025, Auto Tech Pitstop proudly expanded to a second location in Rockville Centre.
